Audio options *Noob*
Audio options *Noob*
I have been reading the forum for months, and I have done a bit of reading but I decided to post now.
I am soon to be purchasing a 3g TL and I wanted to find out from the people, what is the best(most effective) music storage solution being used. I do not put music on my phone, so that is not what I am looking to do.
I was thinking about going out to purchase an ITouch to be able to load all my music on and just connect it in the car somehow, if that is an effective and reasonably priced option, but I just didnt want a cord running all the time from my head to the touch and have it just laying on my seat or whereever.
There might be other ways this can be done cleaner visually and with function also... So any information will be much appreciated.

iSimple or USA Spec adapters work well, are well integrated into the car, and allow music selection via the steering wheel and display on the Navi and/or the top info bar. You can connect your iPhone for Pandora or install a Bluetooth setup via these adapters.

I'm liking this direction in my mind. 1. So you open your armrest and then access it.. change songs and then replace it right? Is there or has anyone seen any other custom installs for like a dock, where it will charge and can run the device? Maybe this is harder for me because I don't have the car and i'm not 100% familiar with the console layout and location options.

Here's the removal thread:

You don't actually have to remove everything, but just get enough access to run the cables as well as be able to plug in the adapter into the multipin connector behind the head unit.
If it's too much out of your expertise, any radio shop can do this for typically <$100 (labor charge). Just tell them where you want your iPod connection cable to exist.

A Touch won't unless it's linked to your phone acting as a WiFi access point. That's where the iPhone helps as it has data access for Pandora streaming when you're in the car.
I see, Im a Driod user so, I was just only at most looking to pick up a large itouch to store all my digital albums, but I guess I would need to figure out a secondary option to stream incase I want to use a service such as pandora from my phone. This is something I have to research more.

To do this, you just need:
-USA Spec or iSimple plug in adapter
-Bluetooth module to plug into the AUX port on the adapter
That's it.
