Audio lag after XM subscription

Recently subscribed and got XM radio in my car, problem is there's major lag on all audio control buttons. I have to mash the button for it to work. is there a fix to this?

hmm, like even channel changes and volume? I do experience a lag going between modes like XM to disc or my iphone via the compact disc changer mode.
