I know we already have a member here using the V635 but would like more feedback from others.

I currently have the V600 and am wanting a change. No problems with the V600 but I just want to update and the V635 looks like a new and improved version of the V600.

I was just wondering if anyone had to flash a new firmware on it to make the HFL respond better to it. I know I had to flash the firmware on the V600 to get it to be perfect.

Let me know your experiences!

 

The v635 works Ok with the HFL. I only get the antenna signal and incoming call, but the phone does work very well. No need to flash

 

Ok, So i picked up my new V635 this past weekend.

I flashed and flexed since it came with a german flex.

This is the current info on my phone.

Motorola V635
S/W Version : R474_G_08.48.6CR
Flex : SE5188AXXP10E6
Provider : Cingular

It works great with the HFL. I think it works a bit better than my old V600. The sound is much clearer. I also feel like I have better RF performance out of this phone.

The transflash card in this phone is damn hot. I can recorded video for a very very long time since I bought the 256 MB card. And the pictures? This things got a 1.3 MP camera so the quality is much better than the V600.

The V600 served me very well. And I know now this V635 will serve me just as if not better.

 

I had it for a couple weeks, works great with the TL. Only, it does not display the battery - like all other GSM motos.

 

V635 is a good step up model. All the big guns are coming this fall
