What are the problems with bluetooth and how bad are they?

 

Everything I've read about the recent Sammy BT phones is not good.

-Not being able to end the answer/end the call with the HF buttons in the car (need to do it on the phone)
-Phantom calls
-Just poor compatibility in general.

Seems to be getting better with recent firmware upgrades, but still not working very well. I suggest you do a search for more info. Also you might want to search for A900, because it's problem are similar.

It's not the end all to compatibility, but Acura specifically lists the recent Sammy's (incl the A940) at NOT being compatible.

 

I have an A940 and it works fine 90% of the time. However it won't display battery or signal strength and I get a number of very irritating problems the other 10% of the time -won't hang up, call waiting fails, transfering calls fails, ghost calls, etc.

10% may not sound bad, but it's more than enough to make me want a new phone. Sprint's choice are terrible at the moment which is the only reason I still use the phone. As soon as I have an option that Acura says is supported, I'm ditching the A940.

 

i have a samsung a940 with no problems. caller id, makes calls, hangs them up, transfer from car and to car, rings/promps incoming calls. no battery level nor signal. check software downloads on the phone. takes just a few minutes. out of the box i had to do 1 already. BTW, i have sprint to and the a920 works good too. the blade a900 won't hang up calls. the a 940 has the best camera 2MP 1600x1200 res, 4 hour talk time where the a920 has 1.3 1280x960 and 3.5 hour talk time.
