Anyone running a Escort Passport 9500ci here ?

Has anyone used the passport 9500ci ?

I really need a radar dector / laser jammer...

I stumbled on a pretty good deal, "I think", $1150usd shipped to Canada.

If there is something else that would run better, PLEASE let me know! These things are hella expensive... but I rather buy one of these than pay 380 bucks for another California speeding ticket...

That sounds like a good price...if you plan on getting it installed that will be about another $300-400

I have the Escort SRX, it is pretty much the same radar and laser system, except the 9500ci has GPS capabilities...the SRX is about $700 for the whole set up. I love it, and it works great. Kinda wish I had the GPS and the Blue LED Display but i was on a budget.

Escort is definitely a great brand, as far as laser jammers go..the ZR4 shifters arent as good as the Laser Interceptor or Blinder systems, those systems will also run you a grand for just the jammers. But you could add veil which would increase the ZR4's jamming efficiency

go to radardetector.net, there is a ton of info on all that stuff

It really costs that much for an install??

I have thought of four options, what would you guys suggest?

9500ci & VEIL G4
Escort 9500ix with laser interceptor & VEIL G4
Escort 9500ix with blinder m45 x-treme & VEIL G4
Escort 9500ix with laser pro park & VEIL G4

All of them are basically within a $100 from one another.

Well, the place that did my install might be a little more expensive but its actually a fairly tough install and they did a great job.

If you looking between using the Escort 9500ci or a 9500ix with a seperate laser system, it really depends on how discrete you want the unit to be.

my user interface is mounted in the cubby beneath my radio, so if i turn the system off or i get pulled over I can shut it and the unit isnt visible. I think it looks better this way instead of having something mounted on the windshield and the mute switch is mounted next to my shifter, so its not in my way.

With the 9500ix you will have two different units, the radar on your windshield and then the laser system. I dont know the laws of the states you drive through, but in some states (Virginia) it is illegal to have a radar system or anything mounted on your windshield.

I would say its really a personal thing...but I think the 9500ci would be the best decision

You can always upgrade your laser system later if you feel it isnt enough protection. anyways no radar/laser system is going to guarantee that you wont get a ticket, however Blinder will pay for the ticket if you do get one.

Yeah, the ticket thing that blinder offers is cool, but they don't cover Canada...

I owned the 9500CI for a year and it sucks!!!!
Rampup radar signal is the worse and the ZR4 can't jam with a d@m as I have access to lidar guns for testing. GPS is cool but it failed at least 7 times. GPS locked out a K-band Leo while my V1 saved me from the lock out. Quick trigger is terrible as the radar can't sniff them out.
Blinder is a good product but the ticket rebate is a joke. They will pay for your ticket but you must accept the points for them to pay the ticket.
I use to run the 9500CI, V1 and Laser Interceptor together. I sold the 9500CI as I don't see a use for it other than red light camera. I will intergrate the Cheetah C50 for red light camera in the future.
Regarding jammer, you are buying distance, not time. If your jammer can't give you jam to gun performance, its failed as most of my lidar hits are <500ft.

I'm in IL so jammers are illegal. so i'm specifically interested in the veil G4. and i understand that it will just give me time and that is what i'm looking for. if i can 3-4sec to react to and slow down.

i dont go 130mph so i am usually 15-20 over limit so 3sec will be enough to slow to legal speed.

just curious is the Veil G4 is worth it for the TLS. since my light housing is black already.

I own G4 and yes Veil works but theres a catch. Veil only works well if you have a jammer. Veil will fail if you only use veil and no jammer. Of all cars tested, every Veil application will give instant reading by the lidar under 1,000ft. Veil alone might save you if targeted +2,000ft. than again, its hard as h#ll to clock a car with no jammers +2,000ft. I own G4 and never applied it to my Acura as the LI give JTG results. I bought G4 when I only had the 9500CI. Oh, LI is hands down better than the Escort ZR4 + Veil. I'm able to get a reading on the ZR4+Veil and no reading on the LI alone. Yea, LI is that good.

Veil and jammers buy distance, not time. If you have G4 alone and your +15 over limit and a Leo hits you with lidar <1,000ft, your toast as its instant reading!!!
Even in banned states, if you practice JTK (jam to kill) Leos never know you have a jammer. JTK is when you turn your jammers off after getting to PSL so the Leo can have your new speed. Do this with 3 seconds and your fine. If you dont want to have exposed jammer heads, Laser Tammer is on beta stage. Laser Tammer will allow you to hide your heads in the bumper and a fiber optic input in receive the lidar hit and a fiber optic output will give a jammer signal. Only thing exposed is the 3 optic heads the size of a pea.

V1 radar, and LI QUAD for $1,500
Hands down the best combo!!! No G4 needed

Does not work regardless what people say. Anyone who ever used a lidar gun knows it does not work. Others who never shot a lidar gun claim it works.

Took me 4 hours to install a:
hard wire V1
V1 remote color display
2 LI in front
2 LI in rear
