I keep it on, it helps to justify the extra $2,000 .... besides all the cool kids are doing it.

Does the thing take awhile to load or something? If ya paid 2k for it, I would keep it on all the time.

Quick Question ... is the Nav too bright at night? Is there a day/night function or a way to adjust it?

that is one way. as soon as i turn on my lights the screen dims and changes colors.

i think (not sure) that there also may be a sensor because there have been rainy/cloudy days when i havent turned on my lights and the screen was dimmed.

i've only had the car for 1 1/2 months.

its not even that i would actually need the navigation...its just a nice luxury to have for unusual places and if u need a shortcut but the new RL Navigation would be nice to have for the TL with that updated traffic report...

I usually switch to the audio screen for local driving-- like to know what artists are playing.

There is a day/night setting tied to whether the headlights are on; that's the default. You can switch it to always do the daylight display, but I've found it too bright at night.

There is a voice command for adjusting brightness as well, but haven't used it yet.

I keep mine off unless I'm showing off the car. I have a buddy who has to constantly scan all 40-54 for the best rock songs the whole time; therefore the Audio screen gets a workout

I don't really pay attention to keep it on or off. Most of time my Navi is either off (the screen is off) or I have my Audio ON.

The Navi is just a fancy tool for me. It'll be turned on when I need.

I keep it on only when either using it or when driving a longer distance. For short commutes, I keep it off, but most often, it is set to the audio. When I have my daughter in the car, she usually requests the navi screen as she likes to watch the little arrow moving
