Replacing the woofers isn't going to give you as great a return as the tweets. I upgraded my tweeters to 1031t model, WOW, what a difference. Just my $0.02

Id think the added tweets in drs/rear as compared to the stock fullrange drivers would do just that.

Far from it. In a properly established system rear is for fill only, if not eliminated altogether and a full range in the doors is going to really f*ck your imaging up.

Im aware of all of that. Im adding 2-ways for more clarity. I'm not looking for added vol or anything. I've had all hi-end stereo upgrades in my car but i trade cars so fast (every 2yrs), its just not worth it to me to go that far.

I havent ordered anything yet but the newer ones had no difference in stats and power handling. Don't think it would really matter anyway as im going to power off stock ELS amp. .

btw, i think it's much cheaper on amazon or on google shopping/crutchfield since hte 6032 goes for a lil less than 70 shipped whereas the ebay link is 80 bucks shipped.

..that is unless you're local to the ebay seller and can pick it up in person

Hes got kappas 62.9i for 64 bux a pr.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Infinity-Kappa-6...item19bdb8a094

Polks are 4ohm so if you got those using the stock 2ohm amp, you'll be loosing about 6db of volume.

um you should email him. hes gonna do all 4 speakers shipped for 117.00. That trumps Amazon and the like.

I just installed the Kappa 63.9i. They are a lot bigger then the 62.9i but they fit easily into our doors.

3-way speakers, 2ohm and I also have a small button to adjust the tweeter db level.

Will have to take a look at the tweeter now...and what you guys use for the 6/9 in the back?

no. put 3-way in back. Do 2-way in front so you can swivel the tweeter which cant be done with the three ways.

unless you wanna cut a hole in the stock tweeter grill, aftermarket twweeters normally will not drop in cleanly. So for resale value, im leaving the tweeters how they are.

I don't follow what you just stated. Could you re-word exactly what you are explaining? Thanks...
