Anybody get a MP3 CD changer or can recommend one?

I just purchased a 2006 Acura TL with Navigation. However, I am looking to purchase a MP3 player which plays CD MP3s (not IPOD input connection). Has anyone done any research or found any players that will work in this car?

I think the best thing to do is get a MP3 CD changer and mount it in the trunk, then use that to play MP3s. However, I do not know of any that will work. If anyone has gotten one or know of one that does work, please let us know. Thank you.

Alpine

I am not sure if it works with the TL system yet but I have a 6 disc Alpine CD Changer that will play MP# and WMA CD's. I know in the passed that you could hook up a alpine CD Changer to older Acura stock decks but I have not been given an answer if this would work. Let me know if you get an answer...

Yes, I have been doing a lot of research and called up many car audio shops. I found 3 of them today that say they can do it without using FM signal/modulator. I will find out more about it on Monday when I go visit them. All the other places say they can do it, but I have to use a RF modulator (goes through FM station... and will give terrible sound).

Please do report back what you find out.

I thought the decoding was done in the head-unit, and that the CD Changer was just a "dumb" disc reader sending the digital signal to the HU. If that is the case, a CD changer wouldn't be able to give your stereo MP3 capabilities.

If the decoding is done in the changer, and the 2-channel audio is sent to the HU for playback, then a changer would be a possibility to enable the car to playback MP3s.

Side note, since the TSX has MP3 capability in that stereo, is a swap out with the TL a possibility?
