Any tips for iSimple and 5's?

it seems to hardly ever want to get the track info and allow me to use the steering wheel buttons. when i can use the steering wheel it always shoes the track info and not just "IPOD" for everything but I can barely ever get it to work. Does anyone know a way around it? I simple has been a real pain in the butt. I already had to update the hardware once. I hope we dont all have to again.

I have been told by their tech people that the only thing you can do is update the software, reset the unit (by shorting a particular cap on the board, which is a ridiculous way to have to reset something IMO), and restart the iphone. Other than that, swap the isimple gateway, which usually doesn't fix it either.

Keep in mind that if you did the recent ios update, it may have compatibility issues with accessories that have not been tested with a new ios (i.e. a previous version of isimple software.)

I recently ran into the exact same issue on an 07 Lexus GS and could never find an acceptable solution.

Good luck.

Are you using the old one with the 30pin connector and a lightning adapter or the new one that lets you use your own USB cable?
