Antenna reception sucks after installing the tint...

Anyone know of some way of boosting the antenna power? Every since I had the windows tinted the fm/am signal sucks. Has this happened for anyone else, how can I make it better without loosing the tint?

Did you happen to use a ceramic coated window tint that reduces signals for your radio/gps (if you have it) ?

I have no issues.. but I told them to use regular tint

It's also possible they scratched the grid that's in the glass while installing it

nah it doesnt matter what the tint has or doesnt have in it.....tint, point blank reduces radio frequencies by all means. you actually lose 3-6dB in power from tints n the antenna being low on the car....IF there was an antenna.

The antenna is integrated into the rear window so either your tint is causing it [excessively] or they may have scratched a wire while cutting the tint or something

I never listen to the radio so I cannot tell you much... XM Ftw!

Make sure they plugged the antenna back in. My car had no reception and after taking the drivers side rear quarter panel off (inside) the wire was dangling there.
