another Ipod question
I finally want to add an iPod to my 2005 Acura TL without Navi. I have tried to read past post but got confused. Which solutions would be best for my needs.
I do not have a nav system.
Do not use xm radio.
I want to be able to use my steering wheel controls with my ipod.
Is it possible to see display of ipod on my car display?

Have you read this sticky thread: 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ
Take a look at the USA Spec, Blitzsafe, or PIE X3. No you won't see a display of your iPod on the car display.

I have an 04 non-navi. I haven't been able to find a solution that will display the Ipod on the car display (like BMW).
I ended up getting the Monster Cable FM transmitter/charger and an RF remote for the Ipod. Total damage: $110. The Ipod lives in the center console and the RF remote lives in my cupholder.
Advantages: Cheap, decent sound quality (certainly far better than XM), the remote works well, Ipod and transmitter/charger is hidden in console so hoodlums can't see it to steal it (I live in the city, so this is an issue), powered off the car so battery is always charged and Ipod ready to roll. The remote is small enough that I can shift with it in my hand if I need to.
Disadvantages: no Ipod display on car radio, no use of steering wheel controls (besides volume).
