Another BT45-ACU install
Another BT45-ACU install
I finally got around to installing a BT45-ACU in the TL.
Install was really easy, it’s nice that you hook it up in the trunk on the XM unit and you don’t have to pull the dash apart.
I didn’t run the microphone since my factory HFL is still working fine.
I do wish the skip track were a short press on the steering wheel, and the volume is a little low but overall I’m very happy with the unit, only regret is not having installed this years ago.

Anyways, moral of the story, if you have an 07-08 TL with nav, get the bt45, much nicer than dealing with the aux cable.

yeah name of the track is nice benefit.
is it possible to adjust how loud it screams “connected” or just on or off?
I just need to fix the center console arm rest and the car is perfect! Ok nearly perfect, the damn clock being wrong is pissing me off more than it should.

You can only adjusting on/off only. As far as the clock issue goes, it should be fixed by now. If it not just put your clock auto adjustment off then disconnect your battery terminal and reconnect it again

My clock is 1 hour off now. Also, my car seems to be super lousy at holding time. When it couldn’t sync I was 30-40 minutes off.
what does the auto adjust off and reconnecting the battery terminals do?

Its been a long time, how thing goes for you?
Sorry, huge delay @E39 did you finally get the right unit? I can lookup my order history and send you the link.
yes the HON3 is different and will not work with our car.
If you’re still interested, i will be offloading mine soon, just need to take it out of my car.
Just a follow-up on my unit. With colder temps, mine buzzes a while until it warms up. By cold, I mean Florida cold, temp in the 50s, maybe low 60s. After 5-10 minutes it calms down.
overall, still recommended.
