Amp won't turn on (bare with me, NOOB)

Ok so I took out my sub and amp to shed some weight before I raced a friend and I had the ingenious idea to re-connect my stock sub so I could have some "bump". So while trying to reconnect my stock sub, I had to disconnect my LOC which was attached to the wiring of the stock sub by metal clips/brackets. I don't really know how to explain it.

- Anyways, yesterday my amp would turn on but the sub wouldn't. and today my amp won't even turn on, period. I was pretty rough with the Line out converter. Anything I can do to troubleshoot and find out what's really wrong? I know it's not the stock wiring because I reconnected it to the stock sub and it was hitting fine but when I try to reconnect it to the LOC, it doesn't work at all.

*SORRY IF THIS IS VAGUE. I'm not that familiar with car audio.

check the power wire for the amplifier and see if you can turn it on. Be sure to also check the inline fuse that should be connected along the power wire. (should be near the battery on the wire that leads to power the amp). Also check your grounds and make sure they are fastened securely on bare metal.

power wire, inline fuse? lol. I'm sorry, I'm so new to this stuff. How do I locate each one? The ground wire is fastened securely to bare metal. The wire on the battery is fastened securely as well. I have a gut feeling it's my LOC. But my LOC shouldn't affect my amp's ability to power on and off right?

Check the remote wire too. The remote wire is what actually tells the amp to turn on.

What jda said. If you are new to car electronics, I would have someone at Best Buy (or at least someone who knows what they are doing) check it out for you.

How much does this box weigh?

Did you reconnect the RCA cable going from the amp to the LOC?
