Amp Power-Wire Path?

I'll be installing an Alpine PLV-7 powered sub in the TL tomorrow night to supplement the stock sub and I'm wondering if any of you guys that have installed custom systems could provide a bit of guidance as to the best bath to run the power wire up to the battery.

If you've done this, my questions are:

- What side of the car did you use to run the wire (driver / passenger)?

- What interior trim panels did you have to remove?

- Is there an existing hole between the trunk and cab to allow a 4 gauge power wire to pass through?

- Which hole did you use to pass the power wire through the firewall (it seems like there's a couple, one in the middle, one on the drivers side)?

- Any tips / tricks to make the job easier?

- Any pictures of the amp-wiring process?

I appreciate the help in advance and I'll be posting an install write up and product review after the job's done.

I think there is a write-up on this somewhere around here, but I ran mine through the middle of the firewall...there is a rubber grommet you remove and there is a perfect hole you can stick the power wire through. You can grab the power wire and run it under the steering column area, remove the trim along the door jams and then fish it behind/under the trunk liner.

I looked around for a clear explanation of the best path to take to the battery and didn't see one. If you know where its at... link away :-)

So passing the wire between the cab and trunk wasn't a big deal? Just pull the side panel off and run it through? No drilling / etc?

Thats the way i did it, just pulled back the side of the rear seat and fished it through.

I didnt make one hole or cut in anything. If you pull out the spare tire cover from the trunk, there is also a bolt under there that is perfect for the ground wire! I will take pics later if i get a chance.
