Amp on/off pop
I've got an annoying pop from the subs everything I turn the key on or off. The only time I heard something like this was when the trigger was hot all the time and the 12v continuous was used to turn it on and off which was many years ago. In this particular box, there's very, very little excursion from the subs with music but this pop gets some serious movement from them.
Nothing has changed, I haven't even been in the trunk until this problem showed up. The other JL amp for the highs works fine, it's just the ancient Infinity amp for the subs I'm having problems with. I've confirmed connections are good and that the amp turns on and off with the key. I've disconnected the signal (RCAs) from the amp and it makes no difference.
I'm assuming the amp is going bad so maybe this is a good chance to upgrade to the new JL HD series.

Ignition, I can't remember exactly which fuse off the top of my head.
It works fine, I have the same signal for the EQ, the JL amp, and the crossover. The problem is it's getting worse quickly and I'm about to disconnect it because I don't know if it will damage the subs.
Edit: Forgot, it's taking longer and longer for the amp to come on. Before, I would start the car and the subs were on at least by the time the highs were on which was very quickly. Now I've got the highs nearly 1.5 seconds quicker than the subs.

are you running a fused distro block in the back?
one of those fuses could be going bad or getting loose...check all connections on your power flow for that amp...sounds like high resistance power supply taking awhile for the charge to build up to turn on...
