My OEM amp has taken a $hit it barely pushes anything out anymore. I was wondering if any 3g TL amp is compatable and if so.. Is the later model car amps any better to get??

I started on thread on this a while back. they have different part numbers but multiple users were able to replace there 04-06 amps with 07-08 amps. Im not sure of any internal changes, but I checked the wiring diagrams and they are identical (besides to wire colors).

Id say go for an 07-08. Might have a few more years of life left in it vs older amps.
