Alarm issue?
try waiting a minute or two after you arm it before you reach in and unlock it. i've seen many cars that actually arm a certain amount of time after you hit the button (usually 30 seconds). the car would lock immediately, but the alarm wouldnt start "monitoring" until that time passes (not sure why, maybe to give time for possible accessory sensors like shock sensors to settle before setting). not sure, maybe thats the trick here. i would sure hope unlocking it without the clicker would set the alarm off!
