Aftermarket sub install... issues

i have a 08 TL-S and im in the process of installing a kicker 750w amp with a kicker comp 10in sub. this setup came out of my civic and worked perfectly!!! i purchased a line out converter and unplugged the factory sub and ran the LOC to those wires. amp gets power, and the sub plays.... but very very quietly. now if i turn the bass or gain up above half way the sub just goes haywire and plays 1 tone as hard as it can... this happen to anyone else? what would cause it to do this? what can i do to fix it??

You have to disconnect the active noise canceling system. It's under one of the dome lights. If I remember correctly it the rear dome lights.

^ What he said. Take off your interior light in the backseat, there's a wire you need to disconnect to get rid of the active noise cancelling feature. I'm 90% sure that's what causing your issue. Bear in mind that by doing so, you could get more road noise when you're driving, although some people have said that they couldn't tell the difference.
