Hi I have a 2008 TL. I was putting in an aftermarket radio and once connected nothing happened. The radio is hooked up exactly how it’s supposed to but no sound will come out. I then realized that I need to put in the radio code to activate it, the issue I have with this is that the touch screen part on the stock navigation is broken but the joystick works. The joystick did not allow me to put in the radio code tho. What can I do to fix the navigation code issue and make my aftermarket radio work ? BTW the aftermarket radio is a 7010b I bought off of eBay. Please help !

 

you need to replace the touch screen

 

I don't think that's your problem - I haven't input my navigation code in a few years because I replaced the screen with a Nexus 7 but my radio still works.

 

did you add the resistor? i would check the wiring.
