I am totally confused. When I got my car beginning of Jan 07 I was getting a message a day, helpful hints. That stopped after a couple of weeks. From what I understand, it is supposed to happen for a couple of months. Also, when I go into SETUP in NAVI and try to connect to the AcuraLink, it tells me I have to set it up. I try, choosing Sprint, etc., then I get a message CAN NOT CONNECT TO ACURA SERVER.

HFL works fine. I called Acura, they reset my messages, but still nothing.

Can someone explain what AcuraLink is?

 

Make sure you have your PCS Vision enable, and then make sure you have your username and password stored. AcuraLink uses the Data part of the phone, not the actual calling portion.

 

Also I think very very few phones actually support the data link as well.

 

everything on the phone side is set up perfectly.... Sprint suggested that the car may or may not be sending the right username / password to Acura server..... that is the error on the phone after it attempts to connect.

 

After a lot of playing around and calling for help, I have now been told that this feature does not work yet. The servers at Acura are not turned on.

 

I have some messages that I can't clear. When you called Acura to clear your messages what did they tell you to do?

 

I can't seem to get it to work, either--although my car does say that the phone (SE T637 on Cingular) has been set up with the system properly. I've talked to the dealer, client services, and the HandsFreeLink CS, and NO ONE seems to really know anything about how this system works, what it does, whether it is actually working or not, etc. It's really special.

 

Oh, and I think those messages we all got in the beginning are preloaded into the system, so receiving them is not an indication of it actually working.

 

Is this only a 2007 model option?

 

Yes.

 

The thing I am talking about is the AcuraLink server, and finally have been told that the server is not turned on yet.

 

How can it not be turned on yet? AcuraLink has been in cars for two models years! That's insane.
