acura csx navigation install!

Hi guys, so i bought an acura csx 2009, this car is not provided with navigation system.however, i'm able to get a used original navigation screen, this one is taken from different csx. My question is, would it be ok to install this navigation on my acura? am i going to have a problem of locked navigation for a pin code? and where can i get this code from?. Thanks!

You'd need all the other components also such as the DVD drive, antennas, and wire harness.

Much more involved than you may think.

There's no issue with the screen. What he's saying is you'll have to buy all the components in addition to the screen. The screen doesn't create the navigation system. You need all the additional things to make it work.

Less complicated would be an aftermarket gps that you mount on your dash, or use Google maps/waze on your phone.

Cheaper option than retrofitting navigation would be putting in a tablet but it'll be just as much work.

Not sure what the forum support is like for the CSX.

I'd go for a double din setup for easy install.

There are dash kits out there like this to install a double din:

Pretty much zilch. I can remember 2-3 CSX posts in the many years I have been on here. Probably more luck over in the SI forums on finding more people who have attempted this on that platform.
