Well i ordered The police and Outkast both on DVD-A from bestbuy.com and they came in today. So when i got home from work i sat in the garage and took a short listen and wow, the detail was amazing. Ive burned dvd-a using various software online but it doesn't compare. I Got these 2 dvd-s to compare since the music is so different i could get an idea from both spectrum's and i bough outkast stankonia album when it was first released and i heard details that i never heard in the original CD. The Police was as equally impressive and the vocals were very strong and present. Over all I paid about $26 for both and it was a good investment. i wanna get the Marvin gaye next and give it a listen.

 

Yeah, it is sad that manuf. decided not to continue the DVD-A or SACD formatting. I still say it's only a matter of time now as other artists are still continuing to release CD/DVD 5.1 material. You can try some of the older DualDiscs as well. Some of them, however, do not work in the TL for some reason. Rob Thomas' Something To Be in DD format sounds awesome and not knowing your variety in music either of the Fleetwood Mac albums (DVD-A) are good as well. Check out Greedybay as well as many trade on there also. :-)

 

You really don't know the potential of our ELS systems until you listen to a DVD-A disc. Simply awesome

 

I've got about 90 DVD Audio discs-if you can find some more, get them! And yes, Dual Discs will not work in the TL's. The Marvin Gaye disc is outstanding, so is Fleetwood Mac. If you like Marvin Gaye and/or Smooth Jazz, try the Dave Koz "The Dance" DVD Audio Disc....WOW !!!! Well recorded music like classical or smooth jazz sounds even better because of the quality of the recordings. If you can find some DTS disc-grab them. Those REALLY sound outstanding. The Police disc should be DTS.
