I need some HELP!
I have a 2005 TL Navi (Canadian Version)
I just purchased an 80 gig video ipod and I would love to do video on my Navi screen. I've read the posts and I'm confused. I am at the stage where I have to purchase equipment to make this link happen and I need some advice. I want a clean install with minimal cables. If it is possible I would like to have some control of my ipod through the steering wheel. I wold also like to have charging capability without having to plug my ipod into the lighter port. Can someone please simplify this for me.

These are what you need to buy

Doms video converter - to get video to navi
USA SPEC HON2Y audio - to get sound to the car via IPOD (but 07 TL has aux input in center console)
SHADOW IPOD kit from radio-shack (24.99 andit has all the video wires in it)

 

Wouldn't the DICE unit work?

 

Is there no way to get music and video from one unit?

I don't think you can get both in one unit currently.

I have a blitzsafe with the optional video out cable. I have then run a cable to a doms unit. Works seemlessly.

 

Thanks for the compliment, but I too would refer him to the FAQ. It has a large section dedicated to ipods. There is particularly one good thread on getting the ipod video to display on the nav screen. Please continue the discussion in a previous thread. Thanks and good luck.
