Has anyone fit 8" mid bass driver in to TL doors? if you did, what drivers have you used?

 

I Hate Cars has installed a nearly 9" mid in the doors without much problem. search for a thread. DIYMA too. they were dynaudio 8" I believe.

 

Several people have installed 9 inch Dyns into their doors. I think it involves quite a bit of cutting, and they were actually having to add bracing around the opening to reduce door flex, as I imagine the already thin inner door with that much material removed would be super flimsy.

 

I'm gonna give a try if not i just go back to 6.5"
