6.5 Interior Speakers

Hey all just a quick question? If I was wanting to switch out my factory 6.5's front and back what's the best speaker to do this? Not looking to spend a fortune just looking to upgrade the sound beyond oem. Probably wanting to use the factory amp and all pretty much a direct drop in. Thanks all!

Okay...little harsh. Against my better judgment I'll help you even though you a Royals fan (braves fan here )

We need information like

- What is your budget for this?
- Do you really want to power these off the HORRIBLE factory amp?
- Why rears? Why not double the costs on just fronts and get better sound or add a little low end?
- What have you heard that you like/dislike?
- Can you do labor and did you factor that into the budget?

There are TONS of these threads all over the 04-08 audio/video section. The wiring diagram is on here. Info about impedance of stock speakers, power of amp, etc etc. Multiple DIY's on installing everything from just fronts to fronts/rears/subs/etc.

Harsh , but true ! atleast a few times a week this question pops up .

Anyway , you really need to have a budget. Component speakers can get pricey really quick ! My Components were $300 alone. I added the rears for some fill. At first I used the stock amp to run all my interior speakers, sounded a lot better than stock . Then with all my speakers playing and the sub going , I quickly realized that I should have amped the front speakers from the get go as my sub was over powering the fronts on some songs. So I ripped everything out ( again ) , installed a another amp and ran all the wires . Now Im more than happy with the way everything sounds. Front components are amped, rears are on the stock amp.

Anyone else have any experience with Infinity speakers as regards to a direct drop in?

- What is your sub and sub amp as selling that and going with a 4 or 5 channel might be quite a bit cheaper

The rears are easy . Take out the top part of the back seats and the cover and simply replace . Fronts , need to door panles to come off . If you search their diy on how to tAke the door panels off and how to take the back seats out .

Here is what I did! It was $800.00 plus another $100 for the Isimple.

This is grabbing some deals from people here and on the internet and doing your own work.

No need to replace the rear speakers as you really dont want to use them anyway. Amp is bridged to components, rear speakers and center on OEM amp. all functionality maintained.
