3sixty.2, mix it or 86 it?

I have googled 3sixty.2 and seen several posts where people have had trouble with theirs. Is this thing reliable for at least 3 years? cause I ain't buying a new solution every year.

what exactly are you trying to do? what about an audio control lc7 or dql8? do you need a line convertor, aux in, eq, crossover? ive used audio control for more than 10 years now with no issues. my 3rd gen right now has an lc7, 6xs, and a phoenix gold eq. it works for me.

well, I thought what I wanted to do is pretty straight forward. But the more I dig the more undecided I get. Several things.. I want to use the factory radio, and I have 2 JL 12" w3 subs, so I need an amp for that and another amp to drive the 4 speakers and those 2 tweaters up front. So is that 6 speakers? Heck its hard enough finding a 4 channel amp, let alone a 6 channel. haha I saw a wiring diagram that indicated the 2 dash tweeters are not interconnected to the front door speakers. So I have not yet decided how I want to conect them. Because as we know, most amps only have front and rear and left and right. So, I know I will need 2 amps, and hopefully no others. 1 amp for the woofers and 1 4-channel amp for the FR, RR, FL, RL speakers. but still wondering about that goofy center channel. I suppose the HU has an output specifically for a center channel and a subout since this is "DVD audio". I dont have the wiring diagram yet. So ya, I have a crap load of work to do. I was reading another guys post about bypassing the factory amp but I aint got time for all that crap. There is too much to decide as it is. Not to mention cross your fingers and hope it works. haha so i'm taking out the guess work. I have a pretty good job and have a few buck so, I ain't worried about spending a little to make this easier. I dont even know what a audio control is? I learned abot the JL cleansweep a few months ago, and recently the 3sixty.2 and now there is something else. my gosh I want to get this over with and stop jacking with a no bass car.

you know I've had many stero systems and done this over and over in a camaro, but this tl has 20,000 speakers, and DVD audio, multiple outputs which i dont even know if they are high or low level .. I know they are not RCA, but then I see guys on another post connect the HU wires directly into an amp.. as long as it is a balanced input amp. So they cant be high level, right? anyways.. i want to get a class d amp for the highs and something else cheaper for the bass. I dont need 900,000 watts. heck 300 watts on the subs are fine. People have a misconception that you need 1,000 watts on a sub. I had a cheap 100w "loud and clear" amp on the subs in my camaro and it rocked

audiocontrol.com They make some of the best stuff out there IMO. They only make integration, eq, crossover products etc.. That is there only business. You can actually call them if you have a question and an actual person picks up. What a concept. JL and Rockford make some nice stuff too though. Their service on the other hand can be a bit frustrating. Again thats my opinion.

As far as amps, what speakers are you going to be running besides the w3s?
If all you want is more bass for now just get a cheap loc for now and a bass amp.

I've been looking for OEM integration stuff since I got the car a week ago. Car audio is my #1 hobby, and I always research A LOT before I buy anything. I'm thinking of going with the RF 3Sixty.2 or the Audison BitONE. The Audison unit is a little higher priced (around $700). I would not go with the Alpine PXE-H650, I've heard some bad things about it.

if you decide to get the 3sixty2, get it from an authorized dealer, i had trouble linking up the bluetooth on my first one, but the second one has worked flawlessly for me. worth the money, if you ask me.

3Sixty.2 for sure. I have no regrets. The tuning options are fantastic.

If you're in doubt, then don't buy it. Not sure what to tell you. I have no issues with mine. It works, and works great. Going on 7 months now with everyday use.

I wonder if just getting the LINE OUT converters at Best Buy will enable me to plug in my own amp..? Most amps today have their own crossover built in.. So that is all I need.

With the newer 3Sixty.2's, RF has corrected the bluetooth issues. I have one and I love it.

I dont know a lot about the RF gear, but I initially got an audiocontrol LC8 to add two amps for aftermarket comps up front, rears and a sub. The signal was clean and clear, although I sent it back to get a audiocontrol dql-8 because of its EQ. The audiocontrol pieces are expensive, but I have never heard a bad thing, personally got a good signal, and the customer support was great.

IMO, there are some really smart guys on this forum that took the risk and basically tapped the pre-factory wires with a RCA and ran it right into an amp for a clean flat sound, I did not have the balls to do it, but they raved about the performance and did not need a LOC(line out converter) or an eq.

The audiocontrol taps post- factory amp wiring, which allowed me to keep my center channel for the navi voice and HFL. Tapping post factory with the audiocontrol also attenuated the rears for the navi too with aftermarket amps.

audiocontrol taps "post factory amp"? Um, I think it connects between the factory headunit and a custom amp. So its "pre" amp, if anything.

And what is a "pre-factory wire"? Is this a wire that is installed before the car is created?

^ No silly... it's a wire that was made before the wire factory was built.

Ok Douchebag, for someone that does not know what the acronym LOC stands for, you cant say much.

Excuse the typo, but audiocontrol units do run post factory amp (translation - they connect to the wire that comes out of the factory amp and runs to your speakers) Good luck with your instal, hope you F*** your car up.
