Hello everyone, i need to buy a dvd navigation unit for my 2005 acura tl...i was wondering if i can buy a unit from an 04 TL to save some $$$...will an 04 dvd nav unit be compatible for an 05TL???? the cheapest i found an 05 tl unit is $2100 from acuraoemparts.com...please help dont want to purchase if not compatible

it will work, just as long as it is not an 07 dvd drive. Look at junkyards and car recycling places. BTW, what did you do to your drive?

Depending on what happened to your old drive,,,, I thought someone else on the forum had his remanufactured by Pioneer for something like $275.00 ?? I'd check into that before dropping anywhere near $2K for a new one!!

bought the car from ebay dealer...long story short nav was not in the trunk...got stiffed on it...now trying to buy one...sure there are no issues with an 04 unit going into an 05???..there was a dealer from ebay that i asked about it....see below....

well as far as i know it wont work with the 2005 model. when i check my
books it shows that the 2004 and 2005 year models dont share the same
part...but i have to say they look just the same i dont know why they are
not the same.
