I received my 2009 update disc yesterday (back-ordered @ $149 on 7/31) and loaded it today.
Shows most store names, addresses and new streets/stores in my area around West LA. I didn't check to see if WAMU bank branches were changed over Chase, though.

It doesn't show any of the Infiniti dealers on the Other Auto Dealers category, although it has MB, Jaguar, BMW, etc.

:thumbsdow I just can't bring myself to pay for the upgrade. I've tried, guess I'm just to cheap. Now that Tom-Tom has introduced their iPhone product @ $99 I'm even less inclined to be ripped off by Alpine. I'm not mad at Will Y. or anybody that did buy the upgrade but it should be about $49.99.

I love my navi and use it for work frequently but I hate being taken advantage of. The free Goggle Maps on my phone are more up to date, free and do a good job. Until Alpine figures out how to improve their business by cutting their crazy upgrade prices, I'm not a potential customer.

Honda/Acura shares in the blame because they should be able to put a little pressure on their chosen partner/supplier. IMHO they are screwing up one of the former best experiences of the car. End of rant!

Agree... Alpine should realize that DVD upgrade must be around US$ 49.99...

At the price, they'll keep existing customer interested in updating their MAPS...

Otherwise, 149.99? People would just opt something else...

No, I don't want one of these but it helps to make my point.

There should be some sort of pricing equity.

I bought the upgrade because I'm too cheap to pay $300 + additional monthly plan charges for an iPhone.

It's tough to beat the integration of the big screen 3G TL Navi with the voice controls for non-Navi functions as well, though.

I still the Navi with 3.80 disc, despite the upgrade price!

Anybody know where an iso of the 4.73 can be found?

I'm running a copy of the 4.63 DVD in my car with 0 problems, but I want to see what I can do with 4.73.

iPhone = New business Tool/Toy w/ additional benefits.

I also love the navi up to that upgrade price point.
Matter of fact, I can also write off the upgrade price as business expense.
I guess (again) I'm just to cheap and hardheaded to give them what they are asking at this time.
My wife has also said to just give them the money.

Navi disc prices-my 06TL

Guys,

It troubles me to see how much they charge for this disc. I also have an 07 Z06 and the price for the 2nd upgrade I have received? Nothing!

You ask and GM will send it free of charge..the system is made by Denso of Japan.

When you say Greedy I think so as well.
