2008 TL type S Nav unit failure and consequences after removing unit
Navigation unit failed and I removed it from trunk. Now the screen which shows radio stations and other info does not work. Is this because the Nav unit isn't connected any longer? What a bunch of BS! My Bluetooth module also failed recently and had to be removed to keep it from running my battery down. Anyone know how to make the screen fork without the Nav unit attached? Thanks

same thing happened to me today. Turned on the car and no Navi and the screen with the time and temp doesnt show the radio/XM stations. It held up for 13 years and finally died, I guess. Don't want to buy replacement Navi to fix this either. Not with phones having much better GPS than our cars. Sucks to try to figure out which preset I am listening to. On the bright side, I test drove a GS350...what a car. No problem plunking down $60K, if I had it.
