Can my 2008 TL play the DVD audio disc (MP3)? I burned some MP3 songs on the DVD disc, not sure if it is DVD-R or DVD+R.

 

youre confusing the two.

your TL is able to play mp3 CD's.
your TL is able to play created DVD-A disk.

Create a DVD-A by using Adobemans software.
you will have to convert your mp3s to .wav

MP3 = CD (CD+R, CD-R, CD-RW, CD+RW)

DVD-A = (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW)


The 07-08 can play MP3's whereas the 04-06 can't...so we use DVD-A (DVD-Audio) to get many more songs on a single disc like you can do when running an MP3 disc. Not sure if there's an audible difference for MP3 and DVD-A so I'll let someone else chime in on that subject.

 

If you are burning a MP3 or DVD-A from mp3, then the audio quality will both be about the same - 2 channel with some amount of loss.
