Hi fellow TL-ers!!

I've searched the forums and have read up on all the threads unfortunately there aren't very many in regards to this topic.

While moving the other day, i was cut off and had to come to a complete stop causing my furniture to impact the screen cracking the touch panel...

Question:
-covered under factory warrenty?]

-From reading the other threads, i am aware that the 04-06 TL navi functions are different BUT would the touch panel be compatible for my 08 navi unit?

-Any guides on how to disasemble the unit to replace the touch screen?

Since the damage was caused by your furniture warranty wont cover it. Best bet get on ebay and find a used navi screen

 

I think that would be an auto insurance claim on either your comprehensive or collision coverage.
You then pay the deductible and drop the car off for repairs with the appropriate shop. If you got the info for the vehicle that cut you off, your insurer can subrogate the claim and refund your deductible once it collects from that vehicle's insurer.

 

anyone have any insight on screen compatibility?

If the parts from a 04-06 are interchangeable with the 08?
