2007 TL - Upgrade NAV Disc?

I have a 2007 TL w/NAV and wonder if it is worth upgrading to a more current NAV disc. There has been a lot of new construction where I live or should I just use the GPS NAV on my iPhone? TIA

I too, have a 2007 (Type S). I purchased the new disc and feel as though it's worth the money.

Thanks for the input. I just got my 07 Type S and was wondering if it would be worth the $150 to upgrade.

The Navigation DVD on the '05 can be upgraded to a new one.

The navigation systems themselves are different, so the '04-'06 TL uses an orange-colored DVD (numbered 3.XX) while the '07+ TL Navi disc is white (number 4.XX); the DVDs cannot be interchanged.

Welcome to AZ.

Basically, the new changes are more POI's. You can note the changes on the website where you purchase the updated navi DVD's here:

I doubt the new construction will be reflected on the current nav disc. It usually takes several years for new roads to get added, not just with Acura's nav, but with Garmin, etc.

I agree with shadowkahn -- new streets and changes in intersections in my area have taken as long as 3-4 years to show up on nav DVD upgrades. But I do find that it's worth it to buy the new disc every two years in an area where there is constant construction and road improvements. Plus, you can sell your old DVD and recover half the cost or more of the new one.

^^^^ It will be updated, but you'll still need an orange disc because the 2005's use the orange disc.

The upgrade discs won't take you from the 04-06 interface to the 07-08.
