2006 Nav Issues!! Please Help

I recently bought a 2006 Acura TL. Radio works, but the nav has the dreaded “please check your disk” message. The eject disk button is NOT lit up. I have tried to wiggle around the nav connections, checked #7 and #32 fuses, unplugged the battery for half an hour and plugged it back in. All with no avail. The guys I bought it from said the nav stopped working after they replaced the battery. Thanks in advance for any help!

You have to remove the unit and send it to Alpine for repair.

Yeah, I’m guessing the drive is bad but just seemed odd because it worked fine right before the battery was replaced

There are supposed to be 5 connectors plugged into the nav drive correct? Because it looks like there is a spot that something is supposed to be plugged into

Just 5 connectors. The one on the bottom right (as you look at it from the back) remains empty. I just had my drive serviced by Alpine to fix reboots, FI-ECU and numerous other errors in diagnostics, reboots, etc. I just posted about that experience.

So I got a new unit off of eBay and the same thing is happening. There is no power to the player. The same check disk message is appearing except when I remove either one of 2 plugs. Not sure which harness gives the module power. Any ideas? Maybe it’s not plugged in up further in the car.
