2005 TL bluetooth HFL issues

2005 TL bluetooth HFL issues

Just purchased a 2005 Acura TL and I have the booting up forever problem on the Bluetooth connection. Every once and a while it works and asks for a four digit code which I don't have. Anyone else have this working then not working problem...? Any in the field fixes? New to the Acura world as of Friday. Thanks for your help.

from my knowledge if it says booting up constantly in the screen than you need to replace the actual blue tooth module located in the middle dome area where your lights are. but just to be safe you can reset your bluetooth by taking out a specific fuse (dont remember which one) and see if resetting it will fix it. apparently these go out after a couple years... mine isnt covered by my shitty warranty so im going to buy a used one and put it in myself.

Replacement of the Hands Free Link (bluetooth) unit is necessary when it spends most of its time "booting up."

A new unit costs about $170 and will take 10 minutes max to install.

i didn't have the 4 pin code either when i bought my 05tl, just ask the dealer to do a system reset and it will be free(make sure you tell them you don't want any diagnostics done on it, because then they will charge you for that).

Thanks everybody for your input. Sorry my delayed responce, been working 7 days a week (minimal time for play) lol. I just installed a new module and it works great, just wish the 05 model could play music through bluetooth... But anyways, im new to the Acura scene and appreciate your welcoming.
