2005 TL, aftermarket car audio deck install kit. Where to buy?

Im sure this has been done to death, but I can not find any info on this in the forums, nor can I find anything on the internet. Where can I find an aftermarket deck install kit for a 2005 TL? I saw a tread on this forum back in 2005, but it is not here any more. The install may have been custom, but the install was very clean and made the 2 half moon cut outs for the current knobs seen like they were just part of the dash styling. Currently I have an Audio Control LC6i and I am sick of the sound quality the stock deck puts out. Thanks in advance for any info.

Have you tried using the rockford 3sixty processor. I does wonders for fixing the sound problems. Personaly I think the bad link is the speakers. I think most if the aftermarket HUs installs have been custom jobs

Yea, all speakers have been replaced with Diamond audio, 1 Kicker 10", and 2 Pheonix Gold amps. I had to turn all the gains down to match the sound level on the inputs, and personally I can stand the way things sound on this system. Also, I get a whine after I trun the car off (it loses the ground). I have tried all 3 ground setup on the Audio Control, but since it auto detects when there is sound coming from the deck and then turns on the amps accordingly, I think I will always get that wine. I though about finding a switch 12 volt to turn the processor on, but I am just sick of the stock deck. The last deck I had was an Alpine (in my last car), and I just sounded great even upgrading from an old Alpine. Well, maybe I will just have to fabricate something if no one else has any sources.

I had the audio control LC6 in my first install attempt. I pulled the stock amp out and used the LC6 as a preamp to the new amps. I got the same results. I put the stock amp back in and went with LOCs in between the stock amps and the new amps. I have JL Audio amps and CDT Speakers all around. No whines no noise no pops. I also had an alpine in my other car but this HU is pretty good and I didn't want to give up my bluetooth and DVD-A.

im also thinking of installing an audio system but i dont know which route to go. so far i love how this looks.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...light=IVA-W200

but i dont want to lose out on my controls and navi function etc. im thinking of going with a LOC but i dont think im going to be happy with the sound. i have to admit alpine makes the best stereos. CDA 7998 was the best ever!!!!!i still have it and will never get rid of that thing. im not sure how to post links pics etc but i think that address i posted is what you were looking for.

No pops, whines, hisses for me either...I went pretty high end, Zapco all the way around. Talked to a lot of folks, the consensus was the TL HU is real good. There is a guy w/ 05 TL who has won a lot of SQ competitions using the stock HU. Phoenix Gold amps are O.K., but for real clean power I'd go with Zapco, Brax, Mcintoch, Lunar, or Nakamichi, I'm even hearing some decent things about the new JL Slash series (?)...clearly I prefer Zapco. My system is wired stock amp to Zapco amps directly to speakers. Set-up as an Active system...my two cents...upgrade power before tearing apart dash. Good luck whichever way you go

You can actually fit a double din with no problem.
