2004 Acura Center Console Upgrade Info
2004 Acura Center Console Upgrade Info
I was searching the forms if anyone can direct me to the post on adding a double din unit and not losing your center console information or integrated Bluetooth.
I have a 2004 Acura TL non-Navi system. I know I will not lose the A/C display read out but will lose the center console display. Is there a cable or alternative anyone has done to retain any of the center display information other than a blank screen. I heard there was a cable you can purchase to retain some information but have not been successful in finding anything.
I am replacing my stock radio with a kenwood excelon ddx790 and a remote start alarm. The Code Alarm CA6552 remote start, vehicle security and keyless entry system was installed successfully. The double din for the Kenwood was more of a challenge. I had to have a custom fiberglass harness made a little bit more but I wanted to make sure it was a factory look. So while I am waiting for the harness to be made I was trying to research this issue.

You will need to remove the bottom board from the OEM head unit and plug it back in to the oem harness. Usually requires lengthening the OEM wires and hiding the board in the dash around the steering column.
