2004 1TBO Radio Problems
I have a 2004 with plate number 1TBO. The radio's buttons don't always work. I can't always turn it off, switch am/fm, cd, etc. CD changer works great, so does the unit. I just turn volume down to "turn it off". Also the wheel controls always work so I can always use those. Anyway have these problems before?
I see faceplates can be replaced as i see them on e-bay. This unit has already been into the shop about 3 years ago and was sent in as the cd changer unit died on it. Other than that.. the radio works fine... Thoughts...

If you have Navi and a working HFL, you can use voice commands to turn the radio on/off as well as switch sources, stations and discs.
Voice commands are only available with the Navi option, and use the mic in the HFL unit.
Otherwise, it sounds like a radio faceplate assembly issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I am non-navi...
Does anyone know how to replace the faceplate on these? Is it an easy job? Can it be done w/o pulling the radio?
