08 Accord Navi vs 05 Tl navi
My g/f went out and bought a new 08 black coupe 6 speed with navi. I love the car!! I didn't like how the navi sat way up in the dash and how it wasn't touch screen. But one thing about it i did like was when your making a turn left or right the screen turns into the direction your going. I didn't see any options in her settings to turn it off. And i don't see any options in the TL for this.
Does anyone know what i'm talking about?

I think I know what you are talking about. There should be a button in the top left corner of your navigation screen that has a "N" and a arrow in it. Tap that and your navigation should turn with the vehicle.

I have that in my 08 TL-S... it's an option... you can have different views
Read the manual.

yeah, i saw that once you mentioned it! LOL! but anyways, i just love how ours are closer and touch screen. I was in a rdx and it was way up in the dash, non touch screen. And i hate the huge joystick that controls the navi.. Tl navi owns!

Thumbs up on the touch screen here too! Acura/Honda is making a big mistake IMO getting rid of the touch screen. We also have an 08 Pilot with the touch nav (newer gen nav like the 08 TL nav except without nav traffic). We love having this quality nav system in both cars.

I noticed the new 09 TSX has gone to the touchless Navi as well. I don't like how it sits back and deep. I played with it some in the loaner I had for a few days. It's not hard to operate but's it's just not the same. I do like the fact it's better protected though.

i don't have navi in my TL, but i do have one in my 07 4Runner Limited. Honestly, i do love the one in toyota, very user friendly and the pic quality is nice specially when the backup camera is activated. only down side is when the vehicle is moving, it won't allow you to do any type of input as a safety feature.

The thing about our navi is that its quite hard to read it when its sunny out. I dont have tint so that could be the issue. Navi's that sit deep and covered dont have this problem.
