im having problems with my navi in my 07 typeS. when i turn the car on everthing works but it doesnt show the roads it only shows the arrow, compass,icon symbol and it tells what street you are on but wont show the roads.just wondering if anybody knows any quick fixs or if its a dealer only fix.

 

What happens when you zoom all the way in? Can you see the road then?

 

sometimes. its almost like it only works when it wants too.

 

Don't know if this will help but Im a Signal NCO in the Army and when my stuff dont work I always try a "cold boot" first.....take the negative cable off the battery for like 15mins....lol....that's what I would "try" if it was mine acting up. Make sure you have the NAVI and radio code for your car.

 

how do i get the code before i try the cold boot?

 

Do you have your all the manuals for your car? Im was a card (similar to a credit card) that has the NAVI code and RADIO code. Whatever you do, DO NOT pull off that cable unless you have that code.
