'07+ radio display in '04-'06: Does it work?

I've searched some and couldn't find an answer. Will the radio display from the 07+ for into the 04-06 ? Is it just plug and play? Has anyone attempted this?
Thankd

No one has done a pin to pin comparison but since the newer units have more features, it's safe to assume you can't mix it easily. You're best bet is to keep the unit's matching. Otherwise you're going to need a ETM for two models to wire it up.
