06 TL pair to Samsung Glyde, work for anyone?

Hello all. I recently got a Samsung Glyde and attempted to pair it with my 06 TL. It refuses to pair up. When I put the phone in discoverable mode the TL never finds it. If I attempt to find device from the Glyde, the car tells me that I am not allowed to start pairing from the phone. I kinda got it connect once, but the Glyde discovered the car as a headset, not handsfree.

My Motorola Q I used prior worked just fine. I have completely cleared the car a few times and reconnected the Q to make sure it still works.

Guess I'm mostly just curious if anybody else happens to have a Glyde yet and got it to work. It's one of those things that's driving me crazy. The verizonwireless.com/bluetoothchart page says the Glyde should work, but it is not yet listed on www.handsfreelink.com.

Just an update to this, using the code 0000, I am able to get the Glyde and the TL to pair up. However, the Glyde thinks the car is just a headset, not handsfree device. So no caller ID info is sent, no battery info, no signal strength.

Are there any options for making the TL show up differently to Bluetooth devices? Or maybe it is a bug in the glyde that it won't detect correctly? Still curious to know if anybody else is using the glyde successfully... or any other Samsung phone that tried to auto-detect the bluetooth device?

so you are searching with the car and the phone at the same time?

I tried to search with my phone and the car told me i would need to start the "pairing" process with the car not the phone.

I hate to sound stupid on this......

I had a blackberry pearl 8130 before and I set it up fine, no issues. I'll keep trying, and I'll let you know.

BTW I have Verizon, don't think I mentioned that earlier

Hi, thanks but I've checked there, the Glyde is not listed. I called the customer service number and they told me the Glyde was still in the testing stage.

It looks like there are other folks here who have Glydes and thiers work though.....
