Hey All,

I am moving forward with the car pc conversion. So far, I have bought the navi module display, but I dont think I will need it sinced I am installing and fabricating a LCD Touch screen.... wasting more money.

So before I move forward with purchasing a Voom PC-2 off of Ebay for $350, I would like to know if this is a good piece of equipment? I am planning on using it for music stored in an USB external HD.

Any suggestions on the car pc brand and such?

 

oh I almost forgot, I am getting a kit from TVandNav2G0 quoted at $200. It is looking promising. Now to figure out the carpc part and how on earth I am going to get this lcd screen wired up....

Think about microsoft surface and it should be nice on the TL.

 

Alright, I haven't decided or researched on what software yet. It comes in next monday so I will be on the hunt for some recommendations.

So.... my dumbass bought the wrong 8'' touch scree.... if you guys decide to do the car pc conversion, please make sure you guys are getting the widescreen. I just emailed mp3car to see if i can get an exchange or refund. Ill keep you guys posted.
