I have an 06 TL with Navigation and recently the screen's video goes in and out (cuts to a grey screen...some video signal being received). A light to moderate thump around the screen area would bring the screen back.

I imagined it to be a bad connection or loose wire...so I got to the back of the screen and wiggled the wires, removed them all and replaced them back, and it does not appear to be associated with the connections themselves. Which I beleive leaves it to be within the navigation screen module itself.

Normal bumps while driving don't impact the screen...yet a good old thump will still bring it back to life.

Questions for the forum:

1) Is there anyone in South Florida who is an expert or would be able to diagnoze it a bit further? Acrua won't investigate...they just want to sell me a replacement. Willing to pay for time and efforts.

2) Has anyone else encountered a similar problem with their screens? If so did it require a screen replacement or is there a fix?

3) I think this is answered elsewhere in the forum, but what is the easiest way to get just a new screen for an 06? Ebay?
