Hi Folks,

I was wondering if I can get some feedback. I have an Acura TL '06 and the HFL is constantly "Booting Up", it looks like the part # is 83251-SEP-A02ZC <ivory interior>.
I have found a part for an Acura MDX 2005-2006, part#83253-S3V-A72ZC. The part is black for the MDX - but i really don't care since i just want to use the HFL unit.

Both units are just HFL and not with Navigations, will it work for my 2006 TL?

Nope. I tried one and it does not work. The connectors are not even close to the same.

 

I had a different experience when I was troubleshooting my sis in law's MDX HFL- I was able to plug it into my car (the MDX HFL) and was able to have it work without difficulty. Both the MDX and my TL have Navi, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Also, did you use some contact cleaner on the pins of the HFL- in some cases, it's oxidation on the connector, and in others, a bad main board capacitor.

Troyteam where did you find the part , I need one .

 

check ebay they have them for like 200 buck for the hfl unit
