Hello all, my name is Henry and I just bought my 06 TL. So far everything been good except the frustration of pairing my phone to the car. I have a G1/ T-mobile provider and it listed under compatible but yet everytime I go through the pairing instruction, nothing comes up. The car shows searching..... and my phone doesn't find any wifi signal at all. At first I thought it was my phone but after trying my roommates Iphone, and 2 other phone. Same result, I am starting to think there's something wrong with the car. Does anyone know if the car bluetooth system easily break down? What's the best way to check it? I can't take it to a dealership because when I bought it, the warranty already expired. Any idea is appreciated. Thanks

 

Sounds like you aren't putting the phone in discovery mode. I have the G1 and had not problems pairing the phone.

 

Make sure the phone is in discovery mode. When found the phone should show Hands Free Device. I have a Cingular 8525 and it works just fine.

 

How is an 06 out of warranty? The warranty should be good until 2010, no? Like other poster stated, make sure the phone is in discovery mode. When I had the iPhone 3G, I initially had problems pairing it but eventually figured it out, and no problems.

 

2010? I wish. Mine will be out of warranty in the next 30 days and I had the extra 12mo/12k CPO.

I had to actually have my G1 in discovery mode and then told my G1 to search. Not the same process I did for my K1m, but it worked.
