05 Non-Navi XM Issue...
Greetings folks,
I just took delivery of my TL and in setting things up I see that when I push the XM button, nothing seems to happen. It's to my understanding that when I push the button it's supposed to bring up at least my headunit's XM ID number, but even that doesn't happen.
I am wondering I'm missing something stupid-simple or my I really do have a problem. My search-fu is weak and couldn't bring anything up about this, so if there is another thread already, my apologies.
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Alright, maybe someone can shed some light on this...
In doing some research it would seem that some Ipod adapters use the XM port on the back of the headunit as a sort of AUX input.
Is it a possibility that something was not reconnected when the vehicle was traded in which would cause the XM not to function properly?
Thanks for any help in advance,
Rob

Welcome to the forums.
Call 1-800-XMRadio and let them know you just bought the car. From what other people on here have been saying, they will give you a complimentary 3 months free.
To find your Radio ID code, press the XM button and turn the station to 0. Your XM radio ID will pop up.
After your three months expire, sign up for the $77/year deal that EVERYBODY on here gets. Look in the audio/navigation section sticky section (at the top of the page) for details.
