Hey I have an '04 TL and I have read that on some TLs when you open with a different key (driver 1 or driver 2) it is supposed to have saved radio favorites/settings and the same with climate control options. Is this absolutely supposed to be a feature of '04 TLs or did they add those features in '05 or later? They don't save different settings for me regardless of which key I use which is why I'm wondering. Please let me know.

You have to have your setting set, then push the memo button on the door followed by the key number, also on the door.
If you have done the above and it still does not work, hold the lock and unlock button at the same time for about 3-4 seconds, this will re-iniate the memory link. The instructions are on the back of the remote too.

Hmm I tried doing that but it still has the same radio/climate settings for both drivers, even when I change them and try to set them to be different. It is possible I have an older '04 than some other '04's or something? Some '04 drivers were saying the screen on the dashboard says "Welcome Driver 1" when they turn on the car. For me it says "Driver 1 detected" so is it possible I have like an older version of the software?

TO THE OP:
Sit in the car and move the seat around, then close door and lock.
With Driver 1 key, unlock and the open door, make sure the seat moves to proper position and the MID displays Driver 1 detected
Then move the seat around and lock the car.
WIth driver 2 key, unlock and open door.
It should display driver 2 detected and move to the proper position.
If the key does not display driver 1 or driver 2, the key is unlinked. Follow the procedure on the back of the remote to relink
