How the hell did this happen? Did you hit it? Those things are decently durable.

search on ebay or car-parts.com for the screen, is easy to replace, and remember that is a screen from a 04-06, 07-08 screen won't work. do not pay more than $300 for the screen. Ebay will try to sell it has it is a navigation unit which is not true (is only a screen), The most important part of the entire system is the main dvd drive that goes in the trunk. Thats the brain of your entire navi components.

no, you would have to replace the screen for a another.
it would come like this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...fAudioQ5fVideo

you can also get it without the buttons and the frame but almost everyone will sell it has a one piece unit with the buttons and the analog stick.

try looking around on car-parts.com

I have one I pulled out of a burned TL and the LCD itself seems to be good along with the touch panel. I was able to disassemble it completely all the way down to the bare panel and touch panel. I bought it just for the bezel and whatnot. So it is possible to do. I just think the backlights on mine were shot or the board, never went too deep into diagnosing it. Some of the components on the main board (separate from the panel) were damaged.

Edit: Also, the touch panel and LCD are two pieces and you could replace them individually.

i'm not saying is not possible but even the dealer would not sell it has a lcd screen replacement. They will sell it has a one pic unit without the button. He will have a hard time trying to find someone with a good screen and taking everything apart only to replace the front lcd glass.

Save yourselve all the trouble and get a unit replacement with or without the buttons.

maybe but you would have to pull it all apart though to find who manufactured the screen in the first place though, and even then it maybe a special screen that was made just for honda though

You can, but you'll miss the ability to use the touch-screen! If you want a screen with a few nicks in it, PM me and I'll email you some photos of one I have sitting in my electronics bin.

I realize this thread is old but I'm needing some advice on how to install a replacement navi screen. Mine was cracked as well and I have purchased a new unit off of EBay. Now trying to figure out how to install it. Anyone have experience doing this?
