'04 TL JL Audio Remote / Clipping Issue
I'm hoping someone can help me resolve this. I've developed an issue recently where if a certain high or bass note plays in a song my entire audio system will clip out for a few seconds. Then, everything will come back and play. It will sometimes do it again during the duration of the song.
I have a JL e6450, e1400D, 12W6V2. See my profile for the rest of my setup.
The problem seems to have gotten worse though. Now, when I start my car, the audio system doesn't come on at all. It will usually be 5 minutes into my drive before the audio comes in. Then, it will randomly clip in and out. Sometimes when it's out, if I hit a bump, or go around curve, the audio will come back in. It's unpredictable, so I don't know whether it's coincidental that the audio comes back in when that happens.
I decided to check my audio setup out after starting my car to see if the amps were powering on. They weren't. So, I checked my remote wire, secured it again. The issue still occurs. What would be causing my audio system to power on and power off intermittently like this. My audio system has worked reliably for me for a very long time.
Any suggestions or experience dealing with this situation would be very helpful.

Not much else it could be if the amps aren't turning on.
Problem solved. Issue was at the battery post. The main power wire to the amps was hanging loose. So, when hitting a bump it would get jarred and cut power to the amps. All is tightened down. My ignorance for posting this before checking all the connects. Thanks, I Hate Cars.

Ok, this has become a phantom issue for me. I tightened down all of my connections. Everything was working for a while. Then, the issue started again.
Sometimes when I start the car the amps will not turn on at all. Then, minutes into driving they'll come on. Then, at other points during driving they'll clip out.
So today I tried to examine the issue while it was happening.
1. When I turned the car to ACC mode the amps turned on and everything was fine.
2. I then started the engine. The amps turned on and everything was fine. Then, I turned the car off
3. I turned off the car and turn the ignition to ACC, the audio did not turn on. I went into the trunk to look at the amps and I saw a dim power on light on my subwoofer amp and no amp light on my mid-range amp.
4. I took a volt meter to the amps. They're getting 12+ volts from the battery. I took a volt meter directly to the battery. It too reports 12+ volts. I then took the volt meter to the remote wire input into the amp, it reports 5.1V. I've checked my grounds and my connection again. Nothing I've looked at indicates a problem with the power to the system.
Does anyone have any idea as to why my audio system keeps randomly clipping in and out like this? I cannot figure this out for anything. I don't think it's an issue with the alternator, because this happens even when the alternator is not running.
See my setup in the first post above. Any advice is appreciated.
