Guys, what is the difference between the white and orange? Can I update to the white for $99, or do I need the orange disk. I have an 07 TL-S..TIA.

 

orange 04-6, white 07-08. Different navigation needs different dvd. You have a 07 tl-s so you should have the white, orange would not work on your navi.

That site has some crazy service. I bought that cd yesterday at 11:15am and it's already here today at 12.

 

I just ordered and got it plus $9.95 shipping. I wouldn't get the lower price until i tried the link in another browser. The cookies in the first browser probably wouldn't let it work. Should get it in a few days!

 

Because that is how we update our navigation to make sure we have the latest streets and pois the difference is based on how old ur current disk is

 

Just ordered mine today (I have the 07 Type-S), so I hope this new version solves the problems of some of the streets in Brooklyn and Queens that are now drivable on the opposite way. I almost killed myself making a right turn (navigation told me so LOL), but it was one way on the other direccion.

I called the 800# at first, and the rep on the phone although nice, refused to give it to me for $99 unless I gave her some code that " was mailed to selected clients". Now, I dont know what type of selection Acura is doing, maybe only MDX and RL customer are getting this code, but my car when new was north of $40k, not chump change.

Oh, well thanks for this thread, I just clicked on the link and it worked like magic, $99+shipping+and yes damm taxes, but still way cheaper than $185 plus taxes.

I will let you guys know how acura it is on the streets of NYC

 

Well so far I can tell you I'm not pleased with it. It re-routed me twice and added time to the destination point. I have it set on direct route too. Yesterday when I went to Brooklyn from Queens I was on the BQE and instead of it telling me to get off at 3rd Ave it made me get off at 6th Ave. It showed that I had to get off and make 2 lefts back towards 60th St where i needed to be. When I got off at 6th Ave the stupid disk told me to get back on the BQE and get off at 86th street and head back to where I was in the first place!! and to boot it added 9 more mins!! I'm gonna give this one more shot and if it does this crap again I'm going back to my 4.63 disk and send this one back.

 

Oh, man, trust me, I know the feeling, I was hoping that with the new white disk, things like that would not happend. Although I do noticed that even in my wife Garmin, re-directions like that sometimes do occurr. So my question is, can we return this disk after trying it for a month or so? I dont see any warranty/guarantee info. Maybe in the packaging.

I live in NJ but I work in the entire tri-state and I drive a lot, so I will keep you guys post it as to my experiences as well.

 

Are these the same discs as the ones for Honda? My 2007 Odyssey has a white navigation disc (I think it is version 4.63) and this sounds like compatible software, newer version. Could someone please confirm?

I think my 4.32v was worse... i was on my way to MA and got onto the Bruckner expressway and it told me to hop on the 278 on RIGHT when right is the 678 and left is the 278 -_-
thats what made me buy this disc...

 

is it me or does the navi does not offer like shortest route or fastest route? all i got is easy route, min and max freeways...

 

It has "direct route", "easy route", "max freeway", "min freeway". I think there is one more I can't remember right now. But I use direct route all the time.

Just a FYI.. I bought the new disc for $99 then put my old one (4.81) on Ebay & it sold today for $91 plus 6 shipping. Makes the deal even sweeter!

 

Once again this disk is a fail for me. But now I'm stuck with it I called the rep yesterday and she said she could refund me my money but I have to reset the navi to accept my old disk. The problem Acura has to take the navi out of the car then send it out in order to do that. So I'm stuck with this dumb disk. She also told me I can change the disk for a new one just in case there might be an issues with it. Since it's a new version not many people have complained about it and she told me I was like one of the few at that with this issue.

bad news for canadians. i ordered the white 4.92 but it does not include Canada. so i called.. they said to order the cdn 2pk navi update would be $249cdn. so i arranged RMA of this disc and sending it back. shucks.
